James Hutchens

James Hutchens, owner and operator of James Web Design got his MFA in 1998, the same year he began to teach web design at Washington State University as a graduate student in Art. Things have changed a lot since then, but James has diligently kept up with the technology and the times. James went on to teach web design, photoshop, photography, and digital photography at Central Oregon Community College for almost 20 years.

During his stint at teaching as an instructor in both the Art department and the Computer Science department of COCC, he started James Web Design. He found that many people were reaching out to him to find a web designer because they didn’t want to take on learning web design when they had their own businesses to concentrate on. Also, they wanted a professional looking business website, not something which obviously looked like they put it together as an amateur.
